• Reading : Content includes: Guided Reading with the Milestones Series, using building strategies to lead to understanding. This begins with recognizing words (including 4-6 new words with each lesson), then phrases, moving to working with sentences, then comprehension/review of the entire story.
• Math: Content includes: Everyday Math, which focuses on utilizing manipulatives to construct and solve problems
• Writing: Content includes: Cloze activites; filling in the missing words of a passage. Also, the students form and write sentences through prompts. They use cards with who, what, and where printed on them. The sentence is formed physically, the students read it aloud and think about whether the sentence makes sense, then they write the sentence
