District 123 Vision

The vision of Oak Lawn-Hometown Elementary School District 123, as a district striving for excellence, is to ensure that each student learns the skills and acquires the knowledge and attitudes necessary to succeed in the future as a responsible and productive citizen; this is accomplished through a challenging, outcome-based instructional program provided by a caring and talented staff within a safe and healthy environment in partnership with the entire community.

Kolmar School Mission Statement

The Kolmar Avenue School faculty and staff provide an exemplary learning environment for all students, beginning with Early Childhood education. This is accomplished through the efforts of a highly motivated, cohesive staff functioning in safe, nurturing surroundings. The educational program is challenging and eclectic, enhanced by the use of diverse methods, materials and technology. High expectations for student academic achievement and appropriate behavior are shared by teachers and parents.

The Kolmar School Improvement Team is comprised of volunteers from the staff who represent departments within the school. The team meets to examine assessment results and building surveys in order to make recommendations for improvement efforts.
