Science Center Starlab

Our school district is very fortunate to have a Starlab planetarium permanently housed at the Science Center thanks to a donation generously provided by the District 123 Educational Foundation.

The Starlab is a favorite place for our students to go during their Science Center visits. It helps our students explore our galaxy and beyond. Some lessons include legends, phases of the moon and planet awareness. We also use the planetarium for lessons on the biological cell, plate tectonics and latitude and longitude. Students are often given sky maps to help them with further constellation identification while sky gazing with their families.
