A SYNOPSIS OF WHAT HAPPENED AT THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE
OAK LAWN-HOMETOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT 123 BOARD OF EDUCATION.
The closed session convened at 7:00 p.m. The open meeting was held at the Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School (OLHMS) Cafetorium and called to order at 7:30 p.m.
THE BOARD HEARD FROM THE ADMINISTRATION REGARDING:

THE BOARD TOOK THE FOLLOWING ACTION:
- Approved the minutes of March 20, 2007
- Authorized that the closed session minutes of March 20, 2007
- Approved revisions to School Board Policies: 2:10, 2:20 , 2:50, 2:80, 2:110, 2:130, 2:140, 2:150, 2:200, 2:210, 2:240, 3:10, 3:40, 3:60, 4:10, 4:40, 4:170, 5:30, 5:90, 5:330, 6:60, 6:250, 7:270, and 8:30 (IASB). Policy 2:220 was tabled.
- Approved resignations of Mary Niemiec and Lisa Short, effective June, 2007
- Approved the IMRF Early Retirement Incentive for Randy Campagna and Arlene Riley; and the Early Retirement Plan for Dennis Gritz, effective June 30, 2007
- Adopted resolution for honorable dismissal of educational support personnel (lunch supervisors)
- Approved 2007-2008 salary and fringe benefits for non-bargaining unit employees
- Approved the amended 2006-2007 school calendar
- Approved the lease with the A.E.R.O. Special Education Cooperative for the 2007-2008 school year of available classrooms (Kolmar-4, McGugan-4)
- Approved lease with Oak Lawn Baseball for use of district fields, 2007
- Approved bid for 2007 Floor Repair Work at Hometown Elementary School to Atlas Restoration, LLC in the amount of $99,650
- Approved the list of bills as presented, the Fund Reconciliation Report, the summary financial reports, and the payroll in the amount of $2,218,571.40
The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
The next regular (and reorganizational) meeting of the Board of Education will be held on Monday, May 14, 2007, at the Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School, 5345 W. 99th Street, Oak Lawn, Illinois.
