Special Presentation - Middle School Program Development Update
Andrea Anderson & Paul Enderle
Ms. Andrea Anderson and Mr. Paul Enderle presented the first in a series of informational sessions regarding the development and transitional activities related to the new middle school. The direction and shape of the junior high will begin to be transformed in the 2004-2005 school year. Plans include the reconfiguration of McGugan's building design (west wing = 7th grade, east wing = 8th grade); daily student schedule and procedural changes, i.e., homerooms will be eliminated, classroom "pass time" will be reduced, lunch time will be revised to include advisory time, etc. In addition, there will be a shift to interdisciplinary teacher teams to promote complimentary knowledge, consistency and improved communication.
