A SYNOPSIS OF WHAT HAPPENED AT THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE
OAK LAWN-HOMETOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT 123 BOARD OF EDUCATION.

The meeting was convened at 6:00 p.m. at District Office.

The Board and Administrators were transported by bus to the Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School to Tour the Construction Site.

The Board and Administrators returned to District Office Training Center to conduct business as per agenda ... the meeting was reconvened at 7:45 p.m....the Pledge of Allegiance was said.

Special Presentation - Technology Update

Mrs. Woloszyn provided an overview of the Technology Department, identifying staff members, job responsibilities, Tech Teams, Tech Grants, Tech Projects, professional staff development and community training opportunities. She reviewed the highlights of the 2003-2004 school year and previewed plans for the 2004-2005 school year.

Special Presentation - Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School Program Update

Ms. Anderson presented highlights of the 5-day Interdisciplinary Team Development Workshop, discussed the 5 Team Leader Positions, and provided a report that outlined the McGugan Junior High School Special Education and Supported Learning Programs for the 2004-2005 school year.

Public Hearing of the amended 2003-2004 budget was conducted.

Public Hearing on the Transfer of Monies from the Transportation Fund to the Education Fund was conducted.

• Golf Outing Recap (6/16/04) - was the most successful Golf Outing ever, raising a total net profit of $6,773/01

• The Autism Project - Program was developed by the University of Chicago and it’s quite an honor for District 123 to be selected as one of only 7 collaborating partners.
