This year I'll be working at District 123 in a new and exciting role. As we transition to 1:1 environment in our 5th grade and begin to integrate technology more into our PreK- 5 classrooms, I'll be on hand to support teachers and students throughout the transition. I'm extremely excited to have this opportunity to share my knowledge and ideas with such an amazing staff and district.

What is a technology coach?

The entire goal of Instructional Technology is to improve learning so my job as a technology coach is to work with teachers to improve learning utilizing 21st century tools. By supporting and inspiring teachers to create units of study that create an engaging environment for 21st century learners to thrive, we make learning irresistible.

As a classroom teacher, what specifically can you help me do?

This assistance can take many forms and is flexible in nature.  Here's a few ideas...

• help plan a unit of study with you or your team
• assist in the classroom during your lesson
• model a lesson
• provide feedback on a lesson or idea
• one-to-one training on Google Apps, SMART Boards, and a host of other web applications

How do I schedule a time to meet?  

Check out the calendar to the right for available times and then email me with your idea and a time when you are available for me to meet.   Please note you may schedule individual and/or team time.  I'll email back to confirm our meeting date and time.
