Professional Development Initiatives

During the school year, half-days are set aside for the purposes of addressing curricular initiatives and/or instructional strategies relevant to grade level(s). The initiatives for the school year are:

• literacy across the curriculum;
• integrating technology to support literacy in the 21 st century;
• one-to-one laptop initiative for District teachers
• using assessments to inform instruction (MAP and AIMSweb)
• differentiating instruction to meet the instructional needs of all students
