Enrollment for kindergarten usually takes place in

home schools in the beginning of the school year.
Full-Day Kindergarten Progam
District 123 has provided its students with a high quality half-day kindergarten program for decades. By extending this program to a full-day option, the district is attempting to provide increased opportunities for students to enrich their learning experiences.
However, to protect a parent’s right to choose the option that is most appropriate for their child, we have carefully crafted a kindergarten program design which will accommodate both half- and full-day participation.
All kindergarten students (regardless of half-day or full-day attendance) will enjoy the same kindergarten experiences during the morning session. The morning session will include all core subject areas (language arts, math, science, social studies, and P.E.). Therefore, all half-day students must attend the a.m. session.
The afternoon session will include all programs and services that support the unique needs of the kindergarten student at each school. Children will have opportunities to experience classroom lessons that promote creativity and movement. These lessons will enhance the core curriculum taught in the morning session.
