District 123 Policies Regarding Staff Web Page Creation:
Documented in our ACCEPTABLE USE OF DISTRICT 123 COMPUTERS AND USE OF DISTRICT MEANS OF ACCESS TO THE INTERNET under Content Guidelines it states:Students and personnel shall not load onto the network or Internet any student work, student communications, student images or any personally identifiable information about students.....NO pictures of students or student names can be inserted on your web page. Instead of students names, use a pseudonym.If student work is loaded onto the network without password protection, no personally identifiable information such as "first name and last initial" should be included in the student work. Instead, the student should use a pseudonym.
No text, image, movie or sound that contains pornography, profanity or obscenity will be allowed.
All resources used in a student's work should be properly cited, as with any research plagiarism is not acceptable.
If you post student work, make sure no name or personally identifiable information is on the work. Give each student a number or letter if you want them to be able to identify their work. Keep parents updated when you are posting anything... inform the parents through a newsletter, memo or whatever fits your form of communication.
