Technology Department

My name is Denise Woloszyn.  In my job here as District Technology Coordinator, I am responsible for eight buildings: five elementary schools, one middle school, a Science and Environmental Center, and an Administrative Center.

Professional Information
  • Currently, I'm the Technology Coordinator for District 123. 
  • Prior to that, I was a classroom teacher at Sward Elementary School for 10 years. 
  • My first experience with technology was as a Tech Assistant in the Sward computer lab.
  • I served as a member of our District Technology team for 5 years.

Job Responsibilities

As District Technology Coordinator, I have many responsibilities.  Some of them are to:

  • provide professional development and on-site support for all staff
  • supervise Technology Assistants
  • purchase supplies, software, and hardware.
  • assist instructional, secretarial, and administrative staff with technological issues
  • help support the Local Area Network (LAN) in each building
  • help support district Wide Area Network (WAN)
  • help offer technical support and troubleshoot district hardware
  • Provide technology newsletters and/or updates
  • attend technology workshops
  • establish and maintain consultant/vendor relationships
  • attend and represent the district at appropriate meetings
