Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher conferences are a vital part of a child’s educational program. They allow parents the chance to meet with their child’s teacher(s) to discuss a variety of issues that can have a significant impact upon the learning process.

Generally we plan formal parent-teacher conferences in the fall. The timing makes it convenient to share our impressions of a child’s aptitude (potential), achievement, socialization, motivation, and other important factors.

It is important for parents to know that we encourage frequent contact with the school staff. It is impossible to overemphasize how crucial good communication is between home and school whether it be face-to-face, by telephone or in written form.

The strong partnership we have been able to forge over the years is responsible, in large part, for the high quality of education in District 123. Please take advantage of the parent-teacher conference days and make the effort to stay in touch with the school staff regularly throughout the year.
