Dear Hannum Parents/Guardians:

We have an early dismissal on Monday. Children will be dismissed at 11:30. Please make arrangements to have students picked up on time. We have meetings after school, so there isn’t anyone to supervise students.

Next week, you may see unfamiliar staff around the outside of school at arrival and dismissal. This is staff from another elementary school in our district. Every other year representatives from each school go around to other schools to do a security audit to make sure that we remain a secure school and district.

Teachers are beginning to prepare for awards at the end of the year. I wanted to make it clear that to receive Perfect Attendance, the attendance has to be PERFECT. That means the student has to be at school every day and on time. They cannot have left early for any reason. Please understand the restrictions on this award. I understand that many students strive for it, but it truly is a difficult thing to achieve. Please explain this to your children, so they are not disappointed on awards day.
