Welcome to The Parent Place

Through funding by a Title 1 grant, the Parent Resource Room opened at Hometown School during the 2010-11 school year.  We are located in Room 42, next to the multi-purpose room (better known as the lunch room).  The room is available daily from 9:00-4:00 p.m. (closed for lunch from 12:00-12:30) and it is open to all parents.  All material and resources are offered FREE of charge.  Check back soon for a list of recommended resources and helpful information.

So, what exactly is in this room?  Click below to find an overview.

Do you need help accessing Home Logic?

I can walk you though it.

Home Logic is an excellent source for information about your child's classroom, assignments, grades, and up-coming events at the school.  You can also access lunch accounts to see if funds are running low.

So if you need help logging on, come on in for assistance.  I have an extra laptop computer for parents to use.  If you don't have your child's ID number, we can obtain it from the office for you to set up an account.  Come on in to get started.

GOOD NEWS !!!!

Are you unable to make it in to The Parent Place during the day but you want to take advantage of the materials we offer?

Just give me a call or email me with the items you would like to request, and I will send them home with your child.

Not sure what we have?  Click on the "available material" link above to find out.

Tired of having your kids' old books and games lying around your house when no one is playing with them?  If you want to donate any used books or games, we would gladly take them.  Just send them to school with your child and his/her teacher will make sure The Parent Place gets them.  One man's junk is another man's treasure.
