MAY & JUNE 2011

It is hard to believe that this school year is already in the “A to Z” count down for the final days of school. It has been such a terrific school year. ?

On Monday, May 2nd, we’ll announce the “Students of the Month”. Each student of the month will be called down to the office to have their picture taken and enjoy a special treat during their lunchtime. EC/BEL celebrate ‘coyote howls’ within their classrooms.

May 2nd through May 6th is “Teacher Appreciation Week” ~ Please remind your children to “Thank their Teacher”. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful and dedicated staff.
We will also celebrate “School Nurse Day” on Wednesday, May 11, 2011.

During the month of May and June, we will have tables set up near the gym with items from our “Lost and Found”. Please feel free to take a look at the items to see if they belong to your child. There are also a few pairs of glasses.

Mr. David Creech has accepted the position to be Kolmar Avenue School’s Principal effective July 1, 2011. This announcement was made at the Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, April 26, 2011.

I have appreciated the opportunity to be your Principal this school year at Kolmar! The students, staff, and parents of this community were very welcoming. The remaining few weeks of school will be very busy. Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. Thank you!
