We now go by numbers instead of days of the week for our specials. This is so the students do not miss their music, art, and library. The students will be broken up into three groups for their specials. Specials will be on days 1, 4, and 5.
|Literacy||Read to your child or have them read to you. *Follow up with comprehension questions. Students can work on writing the events of the story by using the words first, next, then and last.||Read to your child or have them read to you. *Discuss or write about favorite part.||Read to your child or have them read to you. *Locate word wall words and rhymes.||Read to your child or have them read to you. *Make connections by relating to the story,|
|Math||Practice counting by 1's, 2's, 5's, 10's, and backwards. Discuss the concepts of before and after when using the numbers.||Discuss shapes and their characteristics.||Review the names and amounts of coins.||Use flashcards and number charts for number recognition. Practice writing the numbers.|
