Title: Cash Out
Subject: Math
Grade Level: 1

Overview: Students will practice making change with immediate feedback on their answers through a internet website.

Purpose: To practice counting coins in another way.

Resources and Materials: The Coin Counting Book written by Rozanne Lanczak Williams

Activities:
1. Teacher will read The Coin Counting Book.
2. Go to Cash Out website and click on Easy skill level.
3. Students will click on coins to equal the amount of change given on the screen. (This could be done as a math center.)
4. When a round has been completed, students will have teacher check how long it has taken and how they did.

Evaluation: Students should complete 1 or 2 rounds of the game. Teacher observes student completion.
