Title:  And On with the Show
Subject: Reading
Grade Level: 3-8

Overview: Each student will be reading a narrative text at his or her level. After completing text the student will develop a slide show presentation using Apple Works Presentation.

Objectives:  The students will summarize, analyze and evaluate a favorite book of their choice and share ideas through a slide show presentation.

Resources and Materials: Inspiration software and a narrative book of choice

Procedures:
1. The students will choose a narrative text at his or her grade level (give the students a certain time frame to finish text)
2. Give the students the template that demonstrates what the slide show will look like (the student is not able to go on computer until he or she has read the entire book and has a rough draft developed)
3. You may modify the number of slides you wish to have students do. For example: you  may want your gifted children to complete an extra slide
4. After each of the students have completed their slide shows they will be shown to the entire class on the television or projector.
