Title: iMovie Book Reports
Subject: Literature and Language Arts
Grade Level: 7

Objectives:
1. Students will read and discuss novels in Literature groups.

2. Students will write a script for their iMovie book report.  Students will choose from a list of possible options.
Examples:  make a commercial/advertisement, give a book talk,describe the plot line, perform a scene from the book, etc.

3. Students will learn how to use the video camcorder and iMovie software.

4. Students will import video footage into iMovie and edit.

iMovie handouts
iMovie software

Activities:

1. Complete novels through Literature groups.
2. Students prepare a written script to demonstrate understanding of novel.
3. Teacher demonstrates the proper use of the camcorder.
4. Teacher demonstrates how to upload video footage and edit in iMovie.
5. Students shoot video footage, upload, and edit.
6. All student iMovies can be put together on one DVD.
