 Title:  Organizing Literature
 
Subject: Reading
 Grade Level: Any

 Overview: Students will use technology to organize information gained from reading books

 Purpose: To help students organize their thoughts and information through a variety of graphic organizers.

 Resources and Materials: Book student is reading and Inspiration software.

Activities:
1. Student will choose the template that meets their needs from the Language Arts Template section of the Template link.
2.  Fill out the template you choose:
Character -Use to analyze the characteristics of the a character in the book.
 Comparison- Compare and contrast characters from your book.
 Literary Web- Maps out story line.
 Mythic Journey -Great for mapping out the story line of Fairy Tales.
Vocabulary- Develop a better understanding of new vocabulary words.
3. Print your graphic organizer.
4. Place in your Literature Folder, to share with your group during a discussion period.

Evaluation: Teacher observation of graphic organizer and discussion.
