Combine cabin fever, the month of March, basketball, and reading, and what is the outcome? Our 5th annual Hoops and Books that was held in the OLHMS gym on Tuesday, March 15. Students and parents from District 123 in grades 4 through 8 attended. The evening began in the gym where basketballs were distributed and pick-up games, jump shot practice, and games of H.O.R.S.E. were played by all. A special guest player this year, Superintendent Fessler, led a few rounds of free throw knock-out. After 45 minutes of exercising bodies, everyone moved to the OLHMS library to exercise minds. Refreshments, relaxation, and reading rounded out the evening.

We hope you are able to join us next year. March is the month. Hoops and Books is the name.
