The History Club aims to provide OLHMS eighth graders with experiences that will foster an interest in historical themes. Our areas of focus this year include WWII and the Holocaust, as well as Illinois and Chicago history.
To fully engage in the topics explored, students participate in three field experiences. This year, we will travel to the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center and our state's capitol, Springfield, Illinois. Our second field experience will be in downtown Chicago, Illinois.
