Biography:
Bonjour mes amis ... I hope you enjoy this poem entitled ...
I AM FROM ...
• I am from knotty pine paneling, white cotton sheets, and fireplaces burning.
• I am from the big swing on the porch.
• I am from opening Christmas presents on Christmas Eve and eating fresh polish sausage with horseradish on Easter.
• I am from Christmas fruitcake, homemade apple slice, and toast with cinnamon sugar for dessert.
• I am from going to church every Sunday and hearing church bells ringing on the hour.
• I am from hearing musical albums on the stereo.
• I am from a conservative background.
• I am from keeping things in perspective and being grateful.
• I am from watching I Love Lucy, Leave it to Beaver, My Three Sons, Garfield Goose, and Bonanza.
• Now I am from ducks, ponds and chalets.
• Now I am from power walking with friends.
• Now I am from oatmeal, blueberries, watermelon, yogurt, pasta with ricotta, and fresh peaches from my backyard.
• Now I am from Vivaldi and Andrea Bocelli music in the background.
• Now I am from being called grand-mère ... my greatest honor and joy in life.
