Biography:
Hello! My name is Kathleen Harrington, and I am Oak Lawn Hometown Middle School’s Health teacher. It’s been 10 years, since beginning as a Science teacher at Sward school, where I taught for three years. Since the new construction of OLHMS, I have thoroughly enjoyed my post as health teacher, instructing 6th, 7th, and now 8th graders. Your children’s knowledge of health and well-being is crucial for their futures, so I am always on the lookout for the latest and greatest methods to “hit home” these important topics. On a personal level, I am happily married and a mother of three. I immensely enjoy my family, travel, music, theatre, sports, art, film, gardening, and construction projects. My relay-running team has competed in four marathons; one in Milwaukee we even won! With all my varied interests and experience, I hope to be a positive influence on your child’s health-consciousness, bringing him/her exciting and relevant lessons each day at OLHMS.
