Connections class encourages learners to think outside the box by uniting core content knowledge and skills with authentic (real world) learning experiences. We explore each unit using various student-centered activities, which are designed to incorporate individual learning styles, activate prior knowledge, encourage problem solving, and teach effective teamwork strategies. In Connections, students and teachers work together on a daily basis to ensure that a positive learning experience takes place.

Tuesday We will complete an argument writing graphic organizer on both Chicago major league teams using research and supporting facts.

Wednesday We will create a presentation arguing which Chicago baseball team has more historical significance to the city of Chicago using our graphic organizer. |
Thursday We will create a presentation arguing which Chicago baseball team has more historical significance to the city of Chicago using our graphic organizer. |
Friday 11:30 Dismissal We will present our arguments on the two Chicago baseball teams using a class debate.
