D123 SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123 offers summer school programming for students in grades K-8. This program is available to any public, private or parochial student who is a resident of District 123. The programs are designed to offer enrichment opportunities, explore interest-¬based content and provide on-¬going academic support. Online registration for the D123 Summer Program is open.

John Mitchell, Assistant Principal at OLHMS is presenting the second in a series “Anti-Bullying Forum” on Thursday, May 16th from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at OLHMS. Hope you can attend!
*****************************************MAKE NOTE of THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Because of the emergency closing of school back in March due to the snow storm, the last day of school is now TUESDAY, JUNE 4th. It is a full day of school for all students; lunches will be served at the regular times and dismissal will be at 3:20. Report cards will be distributed at the close of the school day.

MARKET DAY orders can be placed online through Tuesday evening (11 pm) May 14th. Please stock up for the summer months on all your favorites! Pick up is scheduled for Friday, 5/17.

The District 123 Educational Foundation is holding its 4th annual Raffle Basket fundraiser until June 7th! Parents and community members may purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win Sward’s terrific assortment of treasures. Included in this year’s basket is a private “Pizza with the Principal” lunch for your Sward child and 5 friends, “Pizza FROM the Principal” delivered to your house by the Principal, a free copy of the 2013-14 Sward Yearbook, a membership to the Sward PTA, a reserved parking space for the 2013-14 Open House on 9/12/13, four front row seats and a reserved parking space for the Sward concert of your choice, along with Sward t-shirts, shoelaces and trinkets. Tickets are available in the school office: 1 ticket is $1; 6 tickets are $5, and 15 tickets are $10! Please stop by the office or send an envelope to the office with payment for the number of tickets you’d like. We’ll fill out the tickets for you and send you the other half! Thanks very much!

Congratulations to all of the Sward students and families for their very generous contributions to our annual Jump Rope for Heart – American Heart Association fund drive! This year, we proudly donated $9783 to the American Heart Association.
