Judy Rayson - Language Arts 8A  (Send e-mail)

The eighth grade language arts curriculum is focused on skills that will ensure that your child feels well prepared for high school. Each unit that we cover addresses a particular reading strategy, writing technique, and theme. Each unit this year will include a wide variety of activities to help your child learn about the topics covered and master the strategies being taught including discussions, group projects, opportunities to utilize technology for presentations and research, and creative responses to reading like artwork and dramatic presentations. Throughout the year, we will also learn about literature written by a diverse group of writers who represent various experiences.
