The Blended Early Learning Program (BEL) services children ages three-five years old who are at risk of academic failure. We meet five days a week for two and a half hours a day. Our class size is 20 children with one teacher and one instructional aide. This program is funded through the state of Illinois and children need to qualify to be offered this program. Our program has been around since 1993 and had a home at Kolmar School. Our program moved in 2006-2007 school year. This early childhood program offers a Literacy based integrated curriculum. The curriculum is aligned to the Illinois Early Learning Standards and instruction is Developmentally Appropriate. We individualize and assessment influences curriculum planning. Our goal is to influence the lives of young children with a positive educational experience.
