District Technology Committee

District 123 is beginning the process of creating a Five Year Technology Plan that will begin in the 2011-2012 school year. To build the plan, a district technology committee was formed in the winter of 2011. The committee will work to create an overall vision and three to five plan outcomes that will provide focus and direction to the work for the next five years. Each year of the plan, the committee will convene and create one-year goals and outcomes to help ultimately accomplish the overarching goals and outcomes for the plan.

The five year plan is broken down into three tiers: D123 vision for learning with technology, professional development, and student to computer ratios. Each tier is being specifically addressed by an established subcommittee, and these groups will create specific goals, outcomes, and implementation plans annually for their tier of focus.

As the work progresses, the committee will utilize this space to provide timely and necessary updates on how the work is progressing to staff, students, and the community.

Participation and membership on the committee and subcommittees is open to any staff member or community member interested. For more information about a specific subcommittee, or the five year plan in general, please feel free to contact the following individuals.
