FAQs
SchoolStatus Connect is a central communications tool for schools and districts. With SchoolStatus Connect, families can communicate back and forth with their child’s teachers, and stay up-to-date on what’s happening in the school and district, all from one place! Every communication is sent through the family's preferred method and language.
To sign in to your account on SchoolStatus Connect, visit connect.schoolstatus.com/users/sign_in. You can log in with your email address or phone number on file in Qmlativ. The family portal will open on August 13, 2026.
If you are signing in for the first time, you may be prompted to create a password and select your language and communication preferences.
If you are not able to log in, please send an email to support@d123.org.
SchoolStatus Connect lets you choose how you want to receive communications. You can choose to receive notifications through email, text message, or push notification if you download the app. All communications will also be auto-translated into your preferred language.
If you are not receiving communications from SchoolStatus Connect, check your notification preferences and contact information. You can also send an Email to support@d123.org.
You will be able to select your preferred language during your first time logging in to Connect.
Communications in SchoolStatus Connect are determined by user preference. This way, users can be contacted via their preferred channel.
Once users create an account in SchoolStatus Connect, they will be able to select the preferred Notification method.
- Click the Dropdown next to your Avatar
- Select the Gear icon
- Choose Communication Preferences
- Click the dropdown below Notification method
- Select the method that works for you
- After a teacher has contacted you first, you can reply via email or text message. In some cases, this setting may be disabled for certain Announcements in which the sender is not allowing replies.
- Login to the SchoolStatus portal and use the Conversations feature to start a conversation with a teacher.
Parents can receive all communications via text or email without downloading the SchoolStatus Connect app. This includes invitations sent through the Connect Directory.
However, messages longer than 160 characters will include a link requiring login to view the full content. Two exceptions apply:
- Announcements marked as "public" by the sender will display in full.
- Smore Newsletters, which are public by default.
Important: Parents who rely solely on SMS will miss any conversation content beyond 160 characters, as well as all attachments to conversations and announcements. To ensure full access to all communications, we recommend logging in via the web or mobile app.
Here’s what parents can do in the app:
- Update personal preferences
- View a unified feed of announcements
- View a unified feed of events
- Sign up for events
- Start a Conversation with a teacher
- Access important documents in the Classroom Library or the Student Backpack.
