After 6 years of service on the Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123 Board of Education, Board Member Jackie Lichter has officially announced her resignation. Ms. Lichter was elected to the Board of Education in April 2017 and is in her 2nd term serving the students and families of the Oak Lawn and Hometown communities.
I am proud to say that I was part of many great accomplishments that have happened over the past 6 years serving in this role, and feel good knowing that the district will continue to do great things. It has truly been a pleasure to serve on this board. - Ms. Jackie Lichter
In her resignation letter, Ms. Lichter expressed that her family and career obligations have significantly intensified, making it increasingly difficult for her to dedicate the necessary attention the school board deserves.
Jackie is a valued board member whose enduring impact on our community exemplifies the core values that define our district's vision. We are deeply grateful for her contributions to this board, and to the children and families of the Oak Lawn and Hometown communities. -Brian Nichols, School District 123 Board President
Jackie cares deeply about our school community and always put our children first. The District will miss her contributions and leadership on the District 123 Board of Education -Dr. Paul Enderle, Superintendent
