Advanced Math at OLHMS Criteria

2 out of 3 of the following:

• NWEA MAP: 85% Percentile or higher for two out of three testing cycles for the current academic year
• Grade: 90% or higher in regular track OR Standards-based 5th grade of a 4 for two out of three trimesters
• IAR score: Top 5% score of D123 grade-level peers on the Math assessment

Students must maintain a grade average of 70% or higher to remain in Advanced Math and a MAP percentile ranking of 85% or higher for two testing cycles.

Those who fall below the criteria may be removed from the course for the following school year after a review by an administrator.

If fewer than 30 students meet the criteria, additional students will be chosen based on data and local norms, capping the advanced class at 30.
