Ms. Annie, Ms. Heather and Ms. Karen's classrooms participated in a playful and imaginative Bear Hunt Camping Experience to celebrate their learning about TREES! With flashlights in hand and tickets to the ELC Wildlife Park ready, students stepped into a world of pretend camping, exploration, and literacy-inspired fun.
The hallway and gym were decorated with tents, “campfires,” nature trails, and forest-themed props, creating an interactive adventure for our little explorers. Teachers guided students through each trail reciting the excitement of the beloved We’re Going on a Bear Hunt story.

Children crawled through tunnels, stepped over “logs,” splashed through pretend rivers, and brushed aside tall grass as they moved from one camping station to the next. Along the way, they practiced problem-solving and teamwork as they acted out each scene.
The highlight of the experience came when students searched for the friendly bear, turning a moment of surprise into giggles and imaginative play. Campers gathered around a pretend campfire to enjoy songs, stories, and a cozy snack.
The Bear Hunt Camping Experience offered students a playful way to build language, movement, cooperation, and confidence. With storytelling and hands-on exploration, preschoolers proved they’re always ready for adventure, especially when there’s a bear to find!
