Welcome to D123 — Preparing today’s learner for tomorrow’s world.
Oak Lawn-Hometown District 123 is a dynamic and supportive environment that ignites lifelong learners who embrace diversity and contribute positively to our community and global society.
The lakefront was filled with energy this past Saturday, May 9th, as the Kolmar Club’s "Girls on the Run" successfully completed their first-ever spring season with a celebratory 5K at Grant Park. The event, held at the Lower Hutchinson and Avery Fields, served as the grand finale for a season defined by perseverance, teamwork, and growth.
On April 28, the Kolmar Avenue Elementary gym transformed from a standard PE space into a high-energy laboratory. Students were treated to a hair-raising assembly featuring the "very amazing" Professor Rick, whose hands-on demonstrations proved that science is just as much about spectacle as it is about study.
There is only so much you can learn about community and commerce from a textbook. This week, the third-grade math enrichment students from District 123 decided to see the real thing for themselves, trading their desks for a day-long tour of Oak Lawn’s most important landmarks.
For the past few weeks, the energy in the Kolmar gym has been electric as 4th and 5th-grade students have laced up for a high-energy roller skating unit
At Kolmar, the PTA hit it out of the park this year by switching things up! We were thrilled to host our first-ever Special Lady & Son Dance, and based on the smiles filling the room, it was a fantastic change of pace.
On March 19, Kolmar students kicked off spring break with excitement during their annual Spring Parties! This beloved tradition brings joy to every classroom, as students take part in a variety of fun-filled activities.
