Kindergarten students at Kolmar have been busy learning all about farms in their CKLA unit—and they got a very special surprise visitor!
Our school’s SRO, Officer Craig Zelhart, came to share something exciting: he actually owns a real farm called Wild Harts Farm! He brought in a fun presentation full of cool facts about farm animals the students already knew—and even some new ones. The kids were wide-eyed and amazed!
Officer Zelhart showed pictures of the actual animals from his farm, which made it feel like the class took a mini field trip without leaving school. Then came everyone’s favorite part… the model cow! The kindergarteners got to try “milking the cow,” and they had the BEST time. Officer Zelhart even told them they were already pros!
What a fun, hands-on way to learn about farms, animals, and how they help us every day. Kolmar kindergarteners are officially farm experts in the making!
