On Saturday, November 8, the Girls on the Run club burst onto the scene with their very first 5K at Jackson Park! Club coordinators Mrs. Koster and Ms. Waclaw rallied staff to come cheer, celebrate, and even lace up their own running shoes to join the fun.
On Tuesday, November 11th, Kolmar school honored veterans with a special all-school assembly. Mr. Creech opened the event and invited the chorus to lead students and staff in singing the National Anthem
On Friday, October 24, the Kolmar PTA held its 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat! Families decorated their cars, and kids went from trunk to trunk collecting candies, treats, and trinkets.
On Thursday, October 23rd, Kolmar kindergarten students enjoyed an exciting field trip to Brookfield Zoo! In science class, students have been learning about the needs of plants and animals, as well as the habitats they live in.
To celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), our EL team has put together a beautiful altar, or ofrenda, for Kolmar staff to honor and remember their loved ones who have passed away.

On Friday, September 26, second-grade students and their teachers kicked off their first field trip of the school year with an exciting outdoor adventure! To tie in with their science lessons, the kids got to explore trees up close and learn all about what helps them grow and thrive.
