Kolmar 2nd graders wrapped up their Westward Expansion Reading unit in the most fun way possible- a field trip! They traveled back in time when they entered Naper Settlement. Students went to all different buildings and learned about the different jobs and tasks people of the town would have had. They learned about the black smith, printing press, post office, household duties and visited a school house with very strict rules! Students got to enjoy a picnic lunch as well. Though the weather was not ideal, everyone still had an awesome day!
