On Thursday, December 18th, Kolmar held its first assembly of the year, and it was definitely one to remember. This was not a typical assembly—instead of just sitting and listening, students got to be part of the action!
On Thursday, December 11, fourth-grade students traded their classrooms for dinosaur bones and ancient fossils during an exciting field trip to the Field Museum.
On Wednesday, December 10th, Kolmar’s K–2 students and choir members put on a holiday concert that truly felt like the start of the season. The kids showed up in their nicest outfits, looking excited and a little nervous in the best way.
On Friday, November 22, Kolmar students wrapped up the trimester with a fun-filled Fall Fest—and the excitement was everywhere! After weeks of showing the 3 Bs — Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe — students earned a well-deserved break packed with laughter, creativity, and friendly competition.
On Saturday, November 8, the Girls on the Run club burst onto the scene with their very first 5K at Jackson Park! Club coordinators Mrs. Koster and Ms. Waclaw rallied staff to come cheer, celebrate, and even lace up their own running shoes to join the fun.
On Tuesday, November 11th, Kolmar school honored veterans with a special all-school assembly. Mr. Creech opened the event and invited the chorus to lead students and staff in singing the National Anthem
