Kolmar’s 100th Day: A Bright Milestone

On Friday, February 6th, our kindergarten and first grade students celebrated a big moment — the 100th day of school! From the second they walked into the building, you could feel the excitement in the air. Classrooms were buzzing with laughter, creativity, and a whole lot of counting.

Kindergartners stole the show by dressing up as 100-year-olds with gray hair, glasses, and canes. With their “wise” new looks, they jumped right into their 100th Day activities. They built with 100 items, made colorful Froot Loop necklaces, counted all the way to 100, and wrote about what they would do if they were 100 years old. Their answers were thoughtful, silly, and sometimes surprisingly sweet.

First-graders celebrated by being 100 Days Brighter! Dressed in neon and glowing under blacklights, they lit up their classrooms — literally. Students danced during glow-in-the-dark brain breaks, practiced writing their numbers to 100 with glowing tools, and teamed up with their fifth grade buddies to create special 100th Day crafts. The smiles said it all.

The 100th Day of School was more than just a celebration — it was a reminder of how much our students have learned and grown in just 100 days. It was a joyful, bright, and unforgettable day at Kolmar!
