On Thursday, December 18th, Kolmar held its first assembly of the year, and it was definitely one to remember. This was not a typical assembly—instead of just sitting and listening, students got to be part of the action! Music producer Brent Daniels visited Kolmar and quickly became a favorite among students.
During the assembly, Brent showed students how he uses virtual music technology to create songs. He explained and demonstrated tools like synthesizers, keyboard samplers, and other music software. What made the assembly extra exciting was how interactive it was. Brent invited student volunteers to help him create music right on the spot.
He used students’ voices, phrases, and singing to build beats and even turn them into lyrics. As the music played, students were clapping, dancing, and moving along with the tunes. The energy in the room was amazing, and it was clear everyone was having a great time.
The assembly was not only fun but also inspiring, showing students how creativity and technology can come together in music. It’s safe to say this is one assembly the Kolmar Coyotes will never forget!
