Celebrating Our ELC Social Workers

Celebrating Our ELC Social Workers

At the Early Learning Center, learning begins with connection, care, and a strong sense of belonging. Two people who help nurture those foundations every day are our incredible social workers, Maggie and Michelle. Through classroom visits, small groups, and individual support, they help our preschoolers learn important social-emotional skills like recognizing feelings, solving problems with friends, and finding calm during big moments.

Their impact is felt throughout the entire ELC community. One colleague shared about Maggie,

“Maggie’s positivity and dedication shine through in everything she does. Her ability to connect with children and families with such warmth and empathy helps make the ELC a place where everyone feels seen, supported, and valued.”

Michelle is known for being a steady support for both students and staff. As one teacher shared,

“Michelle is someone that I like to have in my corner. When things get a little tough, she is the first one to stop and help out the teachers and our little ones.”

Their kindness and compassion make a lasting difference for our students. Here is more of what staff have to say about Maggie and Michelle at the ELC:

“You are so kind, calm and compassionate with our students who need the extra support. You are the sunshine in their storm and we are lucky to have your guidance!”
“She is always there when you need her and I appreciate her so much!”

We are grateful every day for Maggie and Michelle and the care, calm, and support they bring to the ELC.
