There’s a buzz of excitement at the ELC as students begin their new unit of study on insects! Curiosity is taking over both the classroom and playground as children explore, observe, and ask questions about the tiny creatures around them.

Students are discovering bugs in the grass, along sidewalks, and even get to document the lifecycle of a butterfly in real time! From watching ants nibble on apple slices to bravely touching worms and a tarantula named Annabelle, they are building confidence and learning about the natural world through hands-on experiences. Some students even ate “worms” they found in their pudding and oreo dirt cup cooking project!
We can’t wait to see where this buggy adventure crawls to next!
