Covington’s 2nd half of the Embroidery and Crochet Club is off to a great start. They started the year with a few weeks of learning embroidery designs and then transitioned to crocheting. The fifth grade girls have been enjoying crocheting. Several of the girls have had experience at home or with the club before so the projects have been amazing!
Crocheting also has many benefits aside from being a creative hobby, it brings stress relief, relaxation and awesome handmade gifts.
The club sponsors, Ms. Rodriguez and Ms. Capriola share ideas and the girls also use YouTube to find ideas. The girls have been exploring different weights of yarn and different sized hooks to complete their ideas. We are so proud of what they have accomplished. Even better, they have been making items for each other and their siblings.
