This October, as we celebrate Principal Appreciation Week, we’re taking a moment to recognize two incredible leaders who help Covington bloom, Principal Ashley Holland and Associate Principal Amber Kenis.
From working the morning drop-off line to supervising at recess, greeting students with a smile, or surprising staff with a little treat to brighten the day, they’re everywhere our Covington community needs them. Whether it’s supporting our PTO, helping make STEAM Night a success, leading CLT and SEL mornings, or connecting with families during Parent-Teacher Conferences, Mrs. Holland and Mrs. Kenis bring energy, heart, and a steady hand to all they do.
Like any garden, a school community needs care, attention, and time to grow. Watering isn’t just for plants, it’s for people too. Our students and staff thrive when nurtured with patience, compassion, and encouragement. Growth can be a delicate process, but when it’s guided by strong, caring leadership, the results are beautiful.
At Covington, the flowers are in full bloom and much of that is thanks to Mrs. Holland and Mrs. Kenis, who help every blossom radiate.
