From Library to Lab: Spheros Are Coming to Covington!

Covington School is celebrating an exciting achievement by library teacher Mrs. Keblusek, who was recently awarded a D123 Education Foundation grant to bring Spheros to the school. This grant will help expand technology and coding opportunities for students, giving them hands-on experiences with robotics and computer science.

Spheros are programmable robotic spheres that help students learn coding through play, exploration, and creative problem-solving. With this new resource, students will have the opportunity to design, code, and test their own programs, helping them build important 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and perseverance.

Mrs. Keblusek has always been passionate about creating engaging learning experiences for students, and this grant is another example of her dedication to innovation in education. By introducing Spheros into the school, she is helping students see that coding can be fun, creative, and accessible to everyone.

Covington is proud to have educators like Mrs. Keblusek who continuously seek out opportunities to enhance student learning. Thanks to her efforts and the support of the D123 Education Foundation, students will soon be rolling into a future filled with creativity, technology, and new possibilities.
