Third grade students honored Black History Month by researching and creating biographies about influential Black leaders who changed history. From Thurgood Marshall to Michael Jordan, students explored the lives, challenges, and accomplishments of inspiring figures.
After completing their research and writing, students proudly displayed their biographies in the school hallway for all to see. The hallway was transformed into a vibrant showcase of learning, filled with colorful posters, powerful quotes, and important facts about the leaders they studied.
These projects not only strengthen our students’ reading and writing skills but also helped them better understand the impact these individuals have had on history.
