Kindness Rocks take over at Hannum School

Kindness Rocks

This past spring the District 123 Education Foundation awarded a mini-grant to the Hannum “Kindness Rocks” team. This week the project began, and students shared the kindness and creativity with Hannum School. The rocks will be placed outside the school for people to see as they pass. The hope is that someone finds a rock that “speaks” to them and they take it home to help brighten their day.

The Kindness Rock Project is a global movement that the team is bringing to Hannum. Each child K-5 will get a rock and paint supplies and the students will decorate rocks with motivational words on them.  You never know what a kind word can do for someone, but we know that it won’t ever hurt. -Hannum Kindness Rock Team (Kristina Turek, Chris Roberts, Cassie Cipriani, Jennifer Grabarek, Kathy Burns, and Daniel Lazzarotto)
