Students deliver coffee and smiles to teachers with their coffee cart
Hometown's Coffee Cart provides students with the opportunity to practice brewing coffees through a color coded work system. In addition, they deliver coffees, where they practice having conversations and handling money. Hometown's Coffee Cart is a partnership with the Dunkin' Donuts on 108th and Cicero. Anil is the owner and has been extremely giving and kind to our program, supplying us with the coffee we sell each week. He also generously donated a Keurig to our program when Coffee Cart first started a few years ago. He has also provided special treats for the kids around holidays, such as Winter Break & Valentine's Day. Anil receives 30% of our profits, which is given to him each trimester. The remainder of the money made from Coffee Cart helps to fund our CASE Community Outings, where students learn how to use functional life skills in natural environments.
