On April 28, 2022 Hometown Elementary's Gymnasium was turned into a night under the Big Top. Led by ringmaster Mrs. Bencik, students and families enjoyed an evening full of math games funded by our Title 1 grant. Teachers and staff led games such as Card Sharks where students had to decide if the next number in a deck of cards would be higher or lower. If they were wrong, they had to answer a math problem to move on! Students tossed ping pong balls into fish bowls to find the partners of 10. Yahtzee, tic tac ten and other games were a huge hit with all of the kiddos. Our MSTs (Math Support Teachers) Mrs. Maureen Finnegan and Mrs. Rebecca Malone did a wonderful job of organizing the event. Thank you to everyone who came out that night. It was a HUGE success!
