Rock the Test

Students are cheering on the upper grades as they prepare for the IAR test

Students in grades K-2 made posters to cheer on the older students as they get ready to do their best on the test.

Students in grades 3-5 are ready to "Rock the Test"....the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) assessment.  This test is the state assessment and accountability measure for Illinois students enrolled in a public school district.  This assessment helps schools identify trends over time and address opportunity and achievement gaps for all groups of students.  In order to encourage our students to try their best and work hard, students in grades K, 1 and 2 made signs  and lined the hallways to cheer on the older students as they walked down the hallway to their IAR kickoff assembly.  Signs said, "Stay positive!" and "You got this!" and "You can do it!"  Staff members also participated in the fun by cheering their students on to try their best on the test.  Good luck to all of our D123 students taking the IAR this week and next week.  You will rock the test!
